SUBSTANCE: terminal device receives from a base station device a message with a request for changing configuration of radio resource control (RRC), including configuration of a data radio bearer (hereinafter – DRB). In this case, DRB configuration includes configuration information indicating, whether a function of a service data adaptation protocol (hereinafter – SDAP) is configured or not. At the same time, SDAP function includes binding of QoS flow identifier (hereinafter – QFI) to DRB, and QFI is QoS information for 5G core (5GC). A setting unit of the terminal device is made with the possibility of determination, in accordance with DRB configuration, whether to configure SDAP function.

EFFECT: reduction in the complexity of protocol processing, and effective communication between the terminal device and the base station device.
