SUBSTANCE: usage: in the field of electrical engineering for automatic configuration of compensation for capacitive short-circuit earth currents in 6 to 35 kV electrical networks. In the method for automatic configuration of compensation for arc-suppression reactors with magnetisation in the zero sequence circuit of the network, the neutral shift voltage is measured, the neutral voltage frequency spectrum obtained by the Fourier transform is recorded, a short-term reference current is formed. The frequency spectrum of the transient process is isolated as the difference between the frequency spectra recorded after and before the impact of reference current, the natural frequency of the zero sequence circuit is determined from the maximum amplitude corresponding to the frequency of free oscillations. The capacitive resistance of the network and the required magnetisation current are determined based on the resulting frequency.

EFFECT: increase in the accuracy of configuration of arc-suppression reactors controlled by magnetisation.
