FIELD: electronic engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electronic engineering, namely to cathode-heating units for heavy-duty more than 3 MW multi-beam electronic devices - klystrons. The cathode-heating unit (CHU) for multibeam klystrons contains a set of individual emitters, which are a porous tungsten matrix filled with an emitting substance. Each emitter is made in the form of a cylinder, the outer side of which has a spherical recess. The emitter is soldered with high-temperature solder into a thin-walled molybdenum cylinder, which is simultaneously soldered into the holder with high-temperature solder. An emitter heater is placed in each cylinder, forming a partial CHU in the common node of the CHU of the klystron. One heater input is attached to the holder, the second input is attached to the insulated busbar of the heaters. The energy input of the heaters, or instead of molybdenum cylinders, the emitter holders are metal rods made of carbide metals and fixed to the emitter and the holder by welding or soldering in the form of a "squirrel wheel", and a system of thin-walled screens is mounted on the rods to exclude the radiation of the heater's energy.
EFFECT: increasing the reliability and durability of the klystron.
