FIELD: space technology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to motion control, mainly of super- and hypersonic transport spacecraft (TSC) with aerodynamic quality. The control surfaces are installed along the perimeter of the bottom section of the TSC body and are each made in the form of a deflected composite aerodynamic flap with the root and end parts deployed relative to each other at an angle of 172°…165°. Side walls are formed on the root part of the flap. Due to this, in front of the flap, when it is deflected (including at a limiting angle of ~25°), a stable area of increased pressure is created while maintaining continuous flow, and thereby the controlling aerodynamic moment increases and disturbances decrease. Compared with flat flaps, the efficiency of the control of the TSC through the channels of pitch, yaw and roll may be increased by 23…65%.

EFFECT: improvement in the flow around the body of the TSC with a hypersonic flow in the area of the placement of the flaps with increased efficiency of the TSC control system.
