SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to means for the formation of artificial fogs or smoke screens; it can be used in agriculture as an insecticide, herbicide, etc., in military or law enforcement activities, in particular, as a lacrimator, or for the formation of colored smoke in any area where it may be required, for example, to create special effects or a smoke screen. The first option of an aerosol generator contains a case with walls and a bottom, a cavity of which is filled with a solid chemically heated composition. On the side of the upper part of the generator, a combustion or heating initiator is immersed in the chemically heated composition. In the mass of the chemically heated composition, there is a hermetically sealed thermally destructible container filled with a sublime agent. Container material is selected in such a way that a temperature of its destruction from thermal exposure is lower than the maximum heating temperature of the chemically heated composition. The second option differs from the first in that at least one through hole is made in the bottom of the case, closed with water-permeable material.
EFFECT: simplification of the design while ensuring efficiency and reliability, as well as expansion of the functionality of the aerosol generator.
