FIELD: amusement.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a shadow theater book and a method for using such a book. The shadow theater book can be used as a children’s book for different publications of educational, instructional or entertainment purposes. The shadow theater book with stable screen pages includes a cover, binding, a block of pages, black pages with laser-cut stencil illustration. In this case, the book contains a block of pages, which, in a closed state, recedes from the book binding, while, in an open state, one of pages is located stably perpendicular relatively to the cover and binding. A screen part of each page of the shadow theater book is glued together from two pre-folded sheets of cardboard. Each page has left and right bases, which are separated from the screen part of pages with folding lines and, in the open state of the book, form a triangular prism. In this case, left and right bases of neighboring pages are connected to each other via the folding line. The length of the left base of the page of the shadow theater book has the maximum value for the first page and decreases for the following page by the thickness of the page. The length of the right base of the page of the shadow theater book has the maximum value for the last page and decreases for the previous page by the thickness of the page. The text is written in white on bases of black pages. The method for using the shadow theater book with stable screen pages includes visual observation of object shadow silhouettes projected on the wall with a lantern from pages of the shadow theater book. In this case, the book is opened by moving the cover and binding to the same plane. At the same time, the first page takes a stable perpendicular position relatively to this plane to project silhouettes on the wall with a lantern. Page turning is performed with one hand, by fixing the read page in a plane, parallel to the plane of the cover and binding. At the same time, the following page takes a position, perpendicular to this plane due to transmission of the force from the right base of the turned page via the folding line to the left base of the following page.
EFFECT: increase in the convenience of instructional representation in projecting shadows on the wall.
