COLLECTION OF PHYSIOTHERAPEUTIC INFORMATION TO INCREASE THE EFFICIENCY OF BOTULISM TOXIN TREATMENT Russian patent published in 2022 - IPC A61K38/48 A61P25/14 A61P43/00 G16H20/00

Abstract RU 2770993 C2

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: inventions group relates to the field of medicine, namely to physiotherapy and neurology, and is intended to improve the ability of a subject to actively move. Botulinum neurotoxin is used in combination with physical therapy in a method for improving the ability to actively move in a subject. Said method comprises administering to a patient in need thereof a first dose of botulinum neurotoxin, wherein the botulinum neurotoxin is administered to a muscle affected by an impaired ability to actively move, and (a) instructing the subject to: undergo physical therapy, which includes physical activity involving the affected muscle; and (b) instructing the subject to record information related to physical therapy for study by a medical practitioner. In addition, a permanent computer-readable storage medium is provided, containing instructions that, when executed by a computer system, cause the computer system to execute the steps of a computer-implemented method. Said method includes receiving, from a subject undergoing physical therapy and treatment with botulism neurotoxin, regarding an impaired ability to actively move, information related to physical therapy; storage of physiotherapeutic information in the database; and transmitting the physiotherapy information to the physician who administered the botulism neurotoxin therapy to the subject.

EFFECT: use of the group of inventions provides improved clinical control of the patient's impaired ability to move actively.
