FIELD: measuring.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of development and preparation of gas and gas condensate for long-distance transport. Method for automatic diagnostics of the state of heat exchangers (HE) at low-temperature gas separation units includes external inspection of the apparatuses, inspection and evaluation of the state of the inner surfaces of the apparatus. The automated process control system (APCS) with a predetermined time discreteness monitors the temperature of the developed gas-liquid mixture at the input of the first HE sections prior to dividing into two streams entering the pipe space of the "gas-gas" HE and the "gas-condensate" HE, and the temperature of each of the streams at the output of the first sections of said HEs, respectively, prior to the combination thereof into a single flow, as well as the temperature of the dried gas supplied to the input of the second section of the "gas-gas" HE from the low-temperature separator and the temperature thereof at the output of the HE. For each point of discretisation of measurements thereof in time the APCS calculates the temperature head for the "gas-gas" HE and the "gas-condensate" HE. The APCS takes the first calculated values of the temperature head as reference values, enters into the database, and compares all subsequent calculated values of the temperature head with said reference values.

EFFECT: increase in the efficiency of control of the unit, reduction in the costs of repair and maintenance works.
