The retracting device for moving furniture parts has a leash that is made with the possibility of movement along the first guide between a retracted position and an initial position and which is directly or indirectly compressed into the retracted position by an energy accumulator. The leash is made with the possibility of being connected to an activator to move a movable furniture part to a closed position. The retracting device additionally includes an opening leash, which is made with the possibility of movement along the second guide and is connected to the leash through a transfer mechanism. The opening leash is made with the possibility of being connected to an opening activator that moves the opening leash along the second guide in the direction of opening during the opening movement. The distance passed by the opening leash is longer than the distance passed by the leash. The transmission mechanism is a transmission with a gear ratio that changes when the opening leash moves. The invention also relates to a sliding guide for movable furniture parts and a method for opening and closing a movable furniture part, tensioning and loosening a retracting device.

EFFECT: simplification of the use of movable furniture parts by providing soft tension and loosening the retracting device.
