FIELD: woodworking industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the woodworking industry, in particular to the use of polyisocyanate compositions, when binding lignocellulose materials used in the manufacture of wood-composite panels. Lignocellulose material is brought into contact with a composition of methylene-bridged polyphenyl polyisocyanate. The polyisocyanate composition is characterized by surface tension of less than or equal to 46 mn/m, preferably less than 40 mn/m, and more preferably less than 30 mn/m, measured according to ASTM D1331-14 standard, where the contribution of polar interaction to surface tension is at least 6 mn/m, preferably at least 10 mn/m, more preferably at least 20 mn/m. Lignocellulose material is wood fibers, which are single wood fibers and/or bundles of such fibers.
EFFECT: mechanical properties of products are improved.
