SUBSTANCE: unit for performing a technological process with car bodies (11) contains transportation devices (13), first transportation line (14), along which transportation devices with car bodies are sequentially moved so that to pass over at least one technological bath (12) and immerse car bodies in the bath, and second transportation line (28), along which empty transportation devices return back. Second transportation line (28) is made with the possibility of moving transportation devices (13) rotated vertically on one side relatively to their normal position for moving car bodies, while there are also first and second portable devices (32, 33) that grab the transportation device from first transportation line (14), turn it vertically on one side to lift it to a position for reverse movement, and hang it on second transportation line (28), and also grab the transportation device from second transportation line (28) in the position for reverse movement, turn it to the normal position to support car bodies and deliver it again to first transportation line (14).
EFFECT: unit makes it easy to return transportation devices and occupies a small area.
