SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metrology. A laboratory installation for measuring the sound wavelength and determining the speed of sound in the air, contains a sound generator of a known frequency with two output connection points, a speaker with two input connection points, a microphone with two output connection points installed with the ability to move along the acoustic axis of the speaker, a low frequency amplifier with two input connection points and two output points connections, AC voltmeter with two input connection points. The first output connection point of the sound generator is connected to the first input connection point of the speaker, the second output connection point of the sound generator is connected to the second input connection point of the speaker, the first output connection point of the microphone is connected to the first input connection point of the low frequency amplifier. The second output connection point of the microphone is connected to the second input connection point of the low frequency amplifier. The first output connection point of the sound generator is connected to the first input connection point of the voltmeter, the first output connection point of the low frequency amplifier is connected to the second input connection point of the voltmeter, the second output connection point of the sound generator is connected to the second output point of the low frequency amplifier.
