FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of chemical technology for the production of catalysts, in particular catalysts for selective hydrogenation of ethane-ethylene fraction (EEF). A method for preparing a catalyst for selective hydrogenation of EEF is proposed, including impregnation of an aluminum oxide-based carrier with solutions of metal salts, namely palladium and silver salts, followed by washing, drying and calcination.
EFFECT: creation of a method for obtaining a catalyst for selective hydrogenation of EEF, which has good characteristics, in particular, has high selectivity and provides for almost complete conversion of acetylene with minimizing the side reaction of hydrogenation of ethylene into ethane.
