FIELD: purification systems.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a dust collector for gaseous fluids and to a method for manufacturing a dust collector. The dust collector used to remove dust from gaseous fluids containing fine dust is equipped with a periodic purification system and contains one or more filter units (1) containing filter elements (2). Filter elements (2) pass in a tubular manner and are closed at one end. Filter elements are made of rigid or semi-rigid filter material and are held in contact with each other along a direction parallel to the length of the specified elements, while between filter elements (2), there are flow channels (3) open at one end and closed at the end opposite to the closed end of filter elements (2). The method for manufacturing filter unit (1) of the dust collector includes following stages: the irreversible deformation of a sheet of filter material to form a corrugated sheet, the cross section of which is formed by repetitions of Ω-like shapes connected to each other, the connection of two deformed sheets to ensure the retention in contact of rectilinear parts of transformed shapes and to obtain rows of filter elements (2), the connection of different rows of filter elements to each other by placing them in contact along forming elements facing each other, and closing ends of filter elements (2) and flow channels (3) formed between filter elements.

EFFECT: creation of a dust collector having reduced dimensions relatively to the working area of its filtering surface, provision of the possibility of effective purification using a purification system having reduced dimensions and operating at lower energy costs.
