SUBSTANCE: scope of the present invention relates to the field of technology related to the generation of mechanical energy for application and conversion into other types of energy. An installation for generating mechanical energy using a combined energy cycle contains at least: means for implementing a closed or semi-closed regenerative component of the Brayton cycle, in which water is used as a heat transfer medium, means for implementing at least one Rankine cycle, which makes up the main Rankine cycle, interconnected with the regenerative component of the Brayton cycle, and a heat pump (UAX), which forms a closed circuit that regenerates the regenerative component Brayton cycle. A method for generating energy using the specified installation is also presented.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to effectively use the heat released by the component of the Brayton cycle, exactly at the point of the cycle where the temperature is the lowest.
