FIELD: shipbuilding.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of shipbuilding, in particular to ship propellers. Water-jet propulsion unit contains a water-jet duct passing into a nozzle, an impeller mounted on the motor shaft inside the water-jet duct, an air supply tube installed in the water-jet tract and including an air supply control valve. The engine is additionally equipped with a turbocharger and a gearbox.
EFFECT: simple design is achieved with the possibility of unloading the impeller at low and medium engine speeds, in reducing the weight of the device.
