SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method and a system for processing gas of installation (2) for gas storage, in particular, onboard a ship. The method includes following stages. First gas (4a, 4b, 5a, 5b) is extracted in a liquid state from first tank (4) or first container (5, 500). The first gas in a liquid state is subjected to the first overcooling. The overcooled first gas in a liquid state is stored in a lower part of first tank (4) or first tank (5, 500), or the second tank or the second container to form cold reserve layer (4c, 5c, 500c) of the overcooled first gas in a liquid state at the bottom of first or second tank (4) or first or second container (5, 500).
EFFECT: creation of colling power that can be used later, wherein a cold reserve is stored at the bottom of a tank or a container for a long time.
