FIELD: glass.
SUBSTANCE: disclosed in the invention is microcrystalline glass, microcrystalline glass article suitable for display apparatuses or electronic apparatuses with high requirements for drop, compression and scratch resistance. The main crystalline phase of the microcrystalline glass contains lithium silicate and a crystalline phase of quartz. The strength of the microcrystalline glass article at four-point bending is therein greater than 600 MPa. The turbidity of the microcrystalline glass with a thickness of 0.55 mm is less than 0.6%. The microcrystalline glass contains the following components as a percentage by weight: SiO2 65 to 85; Al2O3 6 to 11; Li2O 5 to 15; ZrO2 0.1 to 10; P2O5 0.3 to 3; K2O 0 to 10; MgO 0 to 10; ZnO 0 to 10, wherein (SiO2+Li2O)/Al2O3 is 8.5 to 12 and (Al2O3+Li2O)/P2O5 is 8.89 to 20. The microcrystalline glass article additionally contains the following components as a percentage by weight: SrO 0 to 5; and/or BaO 0 to 5; and/or TiO2 0 to 5; and/or Y2O3 0 to 5; and/or B2O3 0 to 3; and/or a brightening agent 0 to 2. The size of the microcrystals is less than 100 nm.
EFFECT: provided microcrystalline glass article with excellent mechanical properties.
