FIELD: fastening methods.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for fastening a working body to a wood handle. In the method, before fitting the working body 1, a wedge element 6 is inserted into the groove 5 of the handle 2, while the ends 3, 4 of the handle 2 diverge in the groove area, as a result of which the size between these ends is larger than the size b of the opening of the working body mating with the handle. Next, the handle is compressed in the area of the groove 5 so that the size between the ends 3, 4 decreases and it becomes possible to fit the working body 1 onto the handle. The working body 1 is mounted on the handle 2, moving the area (point) of application of the compressive force away from its end as it is mounted.
EFFECT: increasing the reliability of fastening the working body on the handle of the impact tool.
