FIELD: apparatus for swimming.

SUBSTANCE: system for limiting movements of the user in an aquatic environment relates to systems for swimming and is used for virtual reality simulation systems. System for limiting movements of the user in an aquatic environment comprises a flexural elastic element, one, retaining, end whereof is intended for connection with the user, and the other, retained, end is intended to be secured using a support system so as to allow, through movements of the user, movement of the entire elastic element without deformation, which causes the height of the position of the retaining end to change within the natural possible change in the depth of the position of the user when swimming along the water surface. Additionally, the second, retained, end is secured using the support system so as to provide such an area in the horizontal plane, wherefor the retaining end exiting due to movements of the user in any horizontal direction would lead to bending of the elastic element.

EFFECT: creation of a force returning the user to a specific swimming area when moving in any direction along the water surface – from and back to the side of the pool.
