FIELD: electronic vaping devices.

SUBSTANCE: inventions relate to an electronic vaping device using an inkjet spray cartridge. An electronic vaping device comprises a housing and an evaporative heater located inside the housing. The cartridge is located inside the device and forms a container containing the pre-evaporator composition. The chip located at the end of the cartridge forms a through hole in fluid communication with the container. The chip contains an ejector in fluid communication with the through hole and configured to eject drops of the pre-evaporator composition towards the evaporative heater. The method for manufacturing the device includes the step of connecting the chip to the end of the cartridge, wherein the ejector ejects drops of the pre-evaporator composition towards the evaporative heater. The method for controlling the device includes a step at which the first electric current is supplied to the evaporative heater to activate the evaporative heater, and a step at which a second electric current is supplied to the ejector to activate the ejector and eject drops of the pre-evaporator composition from the ejector towards the evaporative heater.

EFFECT: providing the ability to precisely control the formation of high-velocity droplets of the pre-vapor composition and their uniform distribution over the heating element in order to accurately control the generation of vapor inside the electronic vaping device.
