FIELD: radiochemical technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radiochemical technology, in particular to a technology for obtaining individual isotopes of rare earth elements. Method for extractive recovery and separation of rare earth elements includes extractive extraction of rare earth elements with an extractant containing zirconium salt of dibutylphosphoric acid in a diluent, washing the extract from impurity rare earth elements, re-extraction of target rare earth elements, as well as regeneration of the extractant. Ytterbium and lutetium are used as extractable and separable rare earth elements. In the proposed method, a solution of chlorinated cobalt dicarbollide in a nitrated aromatic compound is used as a diluent for the zirconium salt of dibutylphosphoric acid.
EFFECT: invention allows separating lutetium-177 from nitric acid solutions of irradiated ytterbium targets with its separation from ytterbium.
