SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the field of cutting devices. Knife insert comprises at least one blade part, a retaining part configured to interact with the corresponding receiving part of the knife holder, force-transmitting means configured to introduce pre-loading from the knife holder to the knife insert. The pre-loading is configured to press the retaining part to the receiving part along the length of the blade part, thus retaining the knife insert detachably in place in the knife holder. The knife holder comprises a receiving part configured to receive the corresponding retaining part of the knife insert, force-applying means configured to apply pre-loading to the knife insert. The system for mounting the blade in a machine or device comprises the above knife insert for a woodworking head and the above knife holder for a woodworking head. The woodworking head comprises at least one above knife holder for a woodworking head. The method consists in installing the knife insert for a woodworking head in the knife holder. The knife insert comprises a retaining part and force-transmitting means. The knife holder comprises a receiving part and force-applying means. The method includes a stage of interacting the retaining part of the knife insert and the receiving part of the knife holder, a stage of interacting the force-transmitting means of the knife insert and the force-applying means of the knife holder, a stage of activating the force-applying means to press the retaining part to the receiving part along the length of the blade part and applying pre-loading to the force-transmitting means, and therefore to the blade part of the knife holder, the stage of locking the force-applying means in order to maintain the pre-loading and retain the knife insert detachably in place in the knife holder.

EFFECT: reduction in the idle time when the knife insert needs to be replaced, increase in the efficiency.
