SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for the manufacture of lighting devices, screens for projection television and surface-emitting devices. A polymer composition for the manufacture of light-scattering products contains a transparent polymer matrix characterized by a refractive index from 1.35 to 1.65, the first scattering particles based on polybutyl acrylate and the second scattering particles, different in chemical composition from the first scattering particles. The first scattering particles are spherical cross-linked polymer particles with a particle size from 5.0 to 20.0 mcm. The second scattering particles are spherical cross-linked polymer particles with a particle size from 1.0 to 50.0 mcm. A refractive index of the first particles is lower than the refractive index of the polymer matrix. The absolute difference between the refractive index of the first particles and the refractive index of the matrix is at least 0.04, and the absolute difference between a refractive index of the second particles and the refractive index of the matrix is from 0.005 to 0.1. A light-scattering product and a method for manufacturing a light-scattering product are also proposed.

EFFECT: improvement of the efficiency of light scattering and mechanical characteristics of products made of a polymer composition.
