FIELD: measuring equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to measuring equipment using optical fibre, namely, to fibre-optic security detectors and to products, methods and means related to fibre-optic security detectors and aspects thereof. The method consists in constructing a protected perimeter by laying the linear part of the fibre-optic security detector in the ground applying the method for laying the fibre-optic cable by mechanised means. Prior to laying, the cable is therein led into the flexible linear product input channel of a cable-layer with a flexible linear product input channel and a vertical plough, and attached to the ground. The cable-layer is then moved along a set curvilinear cable laying trajectory, wherein the direction of the bending radius of said trajectory alternates over the entire path. Water is therein supplied into said cable input channel while the fibre-optic cable is being laid the ground, and when the laying is finished, said plough is lifted, thereby releasing the cable, followed by tamping by the cable-layer using the own weight of the cable-layer.

EFFECT: increased sensitivity and ensured uniformity of the sensitivity of the cable.
