FIELD: agriculture.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to agriculture, in particular, to a method for producing a dry feed additive for cows, as well as to a unit for implementation of the method. The method is characterised by the fact that glacial acetic acid, glycerin, and propylene glycol are separately supplied into a first measuring container from storage containers, liquid sodium glass is supplied into a second measuring container and then poured into a synthesis reactor, the solution from the first container is poured into a mixer, mixed, then supplied into the reactor, the resulting reaction mixture is intensively mixed to produce a homogenised suspension consisting of sodium acetate trihydrate, amorphous silicon dioxide, glycerin, propylene glycol, and water. The suspension is then directed to a spray dryer and dried at a temperature of 120° to 140°C. The unit for implementation of the method consists of containers for separate storage of liquid sodium glass, glacial acetic acid, glycerin, and propylene glycol, a first measuring container whereto glacial acetic acid, glycerin, and propylene glycol are supplied by dosing pumps, a second measuring container whereto liquid sodium glass is supplied by a dosing pump, a mixer whereto a solution of glacial acetic acid, glycerin, and propylene glycol is poured, a synthesis reactor equipped with a high-speed milling agitator, and a spray dryer whereto the homogenised suspension is pumped from the synthesis reactor by a circulation pump. The first measuring container is connected with the containers for separate storage of glacial acetic acid, glycerin, and propylene glycol. The second measuring container is connected with the tank for storage of liquid sodium glass, the synthesis reactor is connected with the second container and the mixer. The spray dryer is connected with the synthesis reactor.

EFFECT: use of the group of inventions allows for production of an additive for preventing hepatosis and ketosis in cows.
