FIELD: chemical industry. SUBSTANCE: sodium water glass is produced by autoclave method from geothermal silica with specific surface 50-300 m2/g, alkali and water. Silica is precipitated by freezing out from hydrothermal solution. Reagents are heated to the desired temperature by hydrothermal flow heat-carrier being among them spent one. The required technical indices of glass are attained by modulation of weight part of reagents in the parent mixture. The use of geothermal silica promotes the increase of sodium silicate reaction rate formation. EFFECT: improved method of utilization, decreased time of process and energy consumption.
