FIELD: ceramics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to nonlinear optical terahertz materials, namely, to nanoceramics based on non-toxic and plastic silver halides, transparent in the terahertz, millimeter, infrared and visible regions (spectral range from 0.1 to 10.0 THz, corresponding to wavelengths from 3000.0 to 30.0 mcm) without absorption windows and with high transparency. Terahertz silver halide nanoceramics is based on a system of silver chloride and silver iodide and additionally contains silver bromide at the following ratio of ingredients, wt.%: "5.0% AgCl – 95.0% AgI" system 60.0 to 65.0; AgBr 40.0 to 35.0.
EFFECT: new non-toxic nanoceramics can be used in creating terahertz tomographic and spectrographic equipment, as well as equipment for identifying narcotic, explosive, and various organic substances.
