FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to centrifugal pumps pumping a liquid medium. The method for increasing the energy transmitted to the liquid medium by centrifugal pumps involves the formation of a circulating flow of the liquid medium around the volumetric blades in the inter-blade channels of the impeller, creating an increase in pressure on the working surface of the blades relative to their rear surface. Part of the liquid medium supplied to the inter-blade channels is directed from them through the inlet channels from the working surface of the blades into cylindrical vortex chambers. The chambers are located along the entire length of the blade, inside them the liquid medium is twisted into a vortex of intense rotational motion and then moved along the outlet channels on the surface of the blades. This medium is mixed with the medium moved through the inter-blade channels throughout the space, and the mixed flow is directed into the discharge pipe. Additionally, a part of the liquid medium with increased potential and kinetic energy from the discharge part of the pump housing from the side of the bearing disk is directed under pressure through the confusers into each cylindrical vortex chamber of the volumetric blades, twisting it at the entrance to the vortex chamber in the direction of rotation of the impeller, its rotational energy is transferred to the part of the liquid medium entering the vortex chamber from the inter-blade channel, after which this additional part of the liquid medium is released from the outlet diffuser channel from the side of the cover disk due to rarefaction, thereby increasing the circulation of the liquid medium in cylindrical vortex chambers, creating an additional increase in pressure on the working surface of the blade relative to its rear surface.
EFFECT: invention is aimed at increasing the efficiency of the method for transferring internal energy to a liquid medium, increasing the efficiency of converting the mechanical energy of rotation of the impeller into the internal energy of the liquid medium moved by it, reducing the metal consumption and reducing the dimensions of the centrifugal pump, reducing vibration and noise in the field of operating modes by eliminating the vortex formation of the liquid medium at the outlet of the impeller in the spiral branch and discharge pipe.
