FIELD: oil and gas industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the oil and gas industry, namely, positive displacement downhole pumps designed to lift fluid from great depths in difficult operating conditions. The downhole plunger pump includes a cylinder 2 descending into the well 1, a suction valve 3, a plunger 4, a discharge valve 5. The cylinder 2 is equipped with a casing 6 with an external drain hole 7 forming an annular cavity 8 with it. The casing 6 is installed on the cylinder 2 hermetically, equipped with an additional filling hole 9 and filled with liquid in a volume that allows maintaining a temperature of 40 - 70°C. Hole 7 is equipped with a relief valve 10, which discharges excess liquid when heated. Hole 9 is provided with a bypass valve 11, sucking fluid from well 1 when the temperature drops.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to maintain approximately the same temperature over the entire surface outside the cylinder 2 within 40 - 70°C, increasing the overhaul period and allowing pumping viscous oils with a lower load.
