FIELD: metal working.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to forging and pressing equipment, in particular, to mechanical presses for rotation forming. The press comprises a flywheel with a central threaded hole, installed in the frame and linked with a drive. A screw with an upper end part of a non-circular cross-section is installed in said hole, configured to move, wherein said part is located in the hole of a non-circular cross-section of the upper thrust bearing configured to rotate relative to the frame. Provided are a coupling, a brake and a slider with a lower thrust bearing whereon at least two cylindrical stops are secured. The free ends of the stops are installed in the corresponding holes made in the flywheel. The press is equipped with an auxiliary braking apparatus installed on the frame. The braking apparatus is configured to impact the upper thrust bearing so as to adjust the speed of translational motion of the slider with the lower thrust bearing relative to the upper thrust bearing.

EFFECT: technological capabilities of the press are expanded.
