METHOD AND INSTALLATION FOR HYDROTREATMENT OF PYROLYSIS OIL Russian patent published in 2022 - IPC C10B53/00 C10G45/00

Abstract RU 2776706 C2

FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: inventions relate to methods for the production of hydrocarbons and devices for its implementation. A method for the production of hydrocarbons from biomass is described, including a pyrolysis stage, at which dry biomass is indirectly heated to a temperature of about 350-500°C in an inert medium, while a pyrolysis product and coal are obtained; separation of pyrolysis products, at which coal is separated from the pyrolysis product, gasification, at which separated coal is indirectly heated to a temperature of about 900-1300°C in a medium containing water vapor for the reduction of the specified coal to form synthesis gas, cooling and purification of the resulting synthesis gas in order to obtain purified synthesis gas containing mainly carbon monoxide CO and hydrogen H2, a gas separator stage, at which the specified gaseous hydrogen is separated from purified synthesis gas. Moreover, the method provides for the extraction of pyrolysis oil from the pyrolysis product, the recovery of at least part of separated hydrogen gas at a hydrogenation stage, at which pyrolysis oil is hydrogenated in the presence of hydrogen gas, while hydrocarbons are obtained, which essentially do not contain oxygen. An installation for the production of hydrocarbons from biomass is described, containing a pyrolysis reactor, in which dry biomass is indirectly heated to a temperature of about 350-500°C in a medium essentially free of oxygen and halogens, while a pyrolysis product and coal are obtained, a gasification reactor, in which separated coal is indirectly heated in a medium containing water vapor for the reduction of the specified coal to obtain synthesis gas, a gas cooler, in which the resulting synthesis gas is cooled to form cooled synthesis gas; a pressurized air conditioning system, in which cooled synthesis gas is purified to form purified synthesis gas containing mainly carbon monoxide and hydrogen, a separation device, in which the specified hydrogen gas is separated from purified synthesis gas, the installation contains a hydrogenation device.

EFFECT: production of hydrocarbons.
