SUBSTANCE: axial, radial, or diagonal fan includes a working wheel and an input guiding device on a flow path in front of the working wheel, preferably in front of an input area of an input nozzle. In this case, the input guiding device is made in the form of inlet grid (1) having flat ribs (5), wherein these ribs (5) form a set of flow channels (6) in the form of grid cells, while each rib (5) is quite predominantly distributed between preferably two branches (15) or between branch (15) and edge area (14, 31), while three ribs (5) quite predominantly occur in preferably each branch (15). Alternatively, flow channels (6) of inlet grid (1) have a cellular cross-section, and/or inlet grid (1) forms a basket contour relatively to an outer and/or inner bending circumflex surface. A corresponding inlet grid is proposed.

EFFECT: obtainment of a fan and an inlet grid for a fan.
