FIELD: mining industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to water-based drilling muds and can be used for drilling unstable clay rocks and opening productive formations. Drilling mud contains, wt. %: clay powder 3-4; polyamine polyepichlorohydrindimethylamine 10-15; water the rest. To increase the density, the drilling mud can be weighted with barite concentrate in an amount from 5 to 150 mass parts per 100 mass parts of the solution.
EFFECT: decrease in the plastic viscosity of the working fluid and a decrease in the consumption of clay powder, as well as the possibility of preparing low-clay drilling muds for drilling.
