The complex for active protection of armored vehicles consists of a system for processing and controlling the complex and protective ammunition. The protective ammunition in a container is made in the form of a mesh-type warhead with explosive elements of a cumulative type located in the corners of the mesh, which is a funnel with a large opening angle with the installation of small-sized missiles or projectiles around the perimeter in the corners to form a striking element of the “mesh trap” type. The protective ammunition is mounted on a base rotating in two planes along the perimeter of the protected vehicle or above it, while the protective ammunition is connected to the processing and controlling system of the complex.

EFFECT: creation of a complex of active protection against the destruction of antitank grenades, ATGM or armor-piercing sub-caliber projectile, providing protection of the sample from almost all directions with a significant reduction in the mass of the weapon system.
