SUBSTANCE: method for firing a rocket shot, in which, before the rocket engine is fired, an igniter is initiated, with one part of the combustion products of the charge of which the back cover of the launch tube is opened and removed, the nozzle plugs are opened with the second part of the combustion products and the charge of the rocket engine is ignited. The opening of the nozzle plugs of the rocket engine is carried out after the separation of the rear cover of the launch tube. Rocket shot to provide the method contains a launch tube with a rear cover, a projectile with a rocket engine. The rocket engine contains a nozzle block, the nozzles of which are closed with nozzle plugs, and an igniter. The igniter is connected by gas-dynamic connection holes to the cavity formed by the rear cover and the nozzle block and the cavity between the charge and the nozzle block. Destructible baffles are installed in the holes of gas-dynamic connection with the cavity formed by the rear cover and the nozzle block. The baffles are made weakened compared to the nozzle plugs.
