FIELD: rocketry; solid-propellant rocket engines with inserted powder charges.
SUBSTANCE: proposed solid-propellant rocket engine has combustion chamber with front end plate and multi-nozzle unit, inserted powder charge unrestricted over outer surface and igniter with electric primer on front end plate of chamber. Igniter is located in prechamber formed by circular groove in front end plate of chamber and bearing plate with holes smoothly distributed over its edge. Electric primer is inserted into bush with splitter whose holes are directed to igniter. Nozzle end of charge is provided with chamfer.
EFFECT: reduced eccentricity of engine thrust due to smooth ignition of charge and efflux of gases from engine.
