FIELD: building materials.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the production of building materials and can be used for producing materials for power engineering, building, nuclear, metallurgical, and other industries for manufacturing building, fire-resistant and fire-retardant products and insulators. The fire-resistant heat insulation composition includes a magnesial binder, a filler in the form of 5 to 25% wt. expanded vermiculite and 5 to 25% wt. perlite. The composition herein additionally contains 0.5 to 10% wt. fibre and 2 to 4% wt. corrective additive in the form of a plasticiser. 60 to 70% wt. dry mixture based on caustic dolomite of the KD-aR brand, including dolomites, brucites and/or magnesites, kaolins, bentonites, talc, is used as a magnesial binder. The composition also contains a tempering liquid in the form of an aqueous magnesium salt solution at a ratio of 145 to 195% of the weight of dry components.

EFFECT: simplified technology for producing a binder, reduction in the density and heat conductivity of the composition.
