SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a transmitting apparatus for transmitting a modulated signal, a receiving apparatus for receiving a modulated signal, methods for transmitting and receiving a modulated signal, and integrated circuits for controlling the transmission and reception of a modulated signal. Transmitting apparatus configured to transmit a modulated signal, wherein the transmitting apparatus comprises a modulated signal shaping circuit which, during operation, shapes a modulated signal including data signals for multiple receiving apparatus, determines whether phase tracking reference signals (PT-RS) should be displayed, based on the modulation and coding scheme (MCS) configured for each of the data signals, and displays PT-RS in a modulated signal when it is determined that PT-RS should be displayed; and a transmitter which, during operation, transmits a modulated signal.
EFFECT: creation of solutions for estimating phase noise with high accuracy.
