FIELD: object predictive autofocusing.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method and device for predictive autofocusing for an object. The claimed method comprises the steps of: capturing an image of a target object to be tracked using a camera user of the predictive autofocus device, selecting a region of interest (ROI) corresponding to a target point of the captured image of the target object selected by the user, initializing the target object tracking step based on input data characterizing the coordinates (xi, yi) of the selected region of interest (ROI) on the i-th frame, and updating the target object tracking step based on the data obtained in the tracking step on the previous (i-1)th frame, for the i-th frame, where i>1, determine the current position of the camera lens for the tracked target object in the current frame when target object out of camera focus, determine the disparity (Di) for the selected ROI on the i-th frame based on pre-collected data characterizing the dependence of the distance between the target object and the lens surface on the position of the camera lens, determine the shift of the camera lens position to ensure that the camera focuses on the target object as a function of disparity (Di) and the current position of the lens and/or the position of the target object in the frame by the calculation unit of the predictive autofocus device, calculating the predicted position of the target object and the shift of the camera lens position for N future frames based on the coordinates (xi, yi) of the current region of interest (ROI) and the current shift of the lens position for the target object, providing predictive autofocusing in real time by the calculation unit.
EFFECT: providing more accurate autofocus on the subject in real time.
