.SUBSTANCE: the invention relates to a device for the detection and semi-quantitative determination of harmful substances in the air. Essence: the device contains a control unit (1), a module (2) for placing an indicator flat element (IPE) connected to the air duct channel (3), a rotary pump (4) for pumping air through the air duct channel (3), a reading unit (5) information with IPE, power supply (13) with external power interface (14). The control unit (1) includes a microcontroller (6) with an analog-to-digital converter (7), an internal memory unit (8), and a unit (9) for processing information and generating alert signals. The control unit (1) also contains a control panel (12) and an indicator panel (11). The block (5) for reading information from the IPE contains a three-color RGB LED (15) and a photodetector (16) optically coupled to the surface of the IPE (17).

EFFECT: increased accuracy of reading colorimetric information from the IPE reaction zone, the possibility of automatically obtaining information about the degree of danger of the studied target substance in the form of text messages on the display panel.
