FIELD: ammunition.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ammunition, namely to the fuse for a non-lethal hand grenade. The fuse for a non-lethal hand grenade includes a firing mechanism fixed in the upper part of the body of the retarding-initiating unit, in which an igniter cap, a pyrotechnic retarder and an igniter or a detonator cap are located. The body of the retarding-initiating assembly is made of two parts connected by a tubular thin-walled coupling located between the igniter capsule and the pyrotechnic retarder and made of plastic, which is destroyed by gas pressure when the igniter capsule and the pyrotechnic retarder are triggered. The distance between the igniter capsule and the pyrotechnic retarder is chosen to be no more than 2.5 diameters of the working end of the pyrotechnic retarder. The wall thickness of the tubular coupling is in the range of 0.8-1 mm. The outer surface is made with stress concentrators.
EFFECT: increasing the stability and reliability of separating the firing mechanism from a non-lethal grenade and ensuring its safe use.
