FIELD: forestry equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to forestry equipment, in particular to devices for drying cones of coniferous trees in order to extract seeds from cones. The cone dryer includes a heat-insulated chamber made in the form of a cabinet with a door, a multi-tiered rack with shelves for drying boxes, electric heat carrier heaters with automatic temperature control, a device for supplying heat carrier to the drying zone and a heat carrier distributor. Drying boxes are made of heat-conducting material in the form of hollow rectangular parallelepipeds with one end side open and a perforated upper part, and bushings with through holes connecting their upper and lower parts are vertically installed inside the second from the bottom and subsequent drying boxes. The device for supplying heat carrier to the drying zone is made in the form of a fan. The coolant distributor is made in the form of a system of air ducts connected to the open end sides of the drying boxes. Heat carrier electric heaters are installed separately in each air duct at a minimum distance from the drying boxes, and the drying boxes are installed in such a way that their open end parts are sequentially directed in opposite directions. An exhaust pipe is installed in the center of the upper part of the cabinet.

EFFECT: energy costs for drying cones are reduced and the design is simplified.
