FIELD: forestry technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to forestry technology, in particular to devices for drying cones of coniferous trees in order to extract seeds from cones. The cone-drier includes a heat-insulated chamber made in the form of a cabinet with a door, a multi-tiered rack with shelves for drying boxes, electric coolant heaters with automatic temperature control, a device for supplying coolant to the drying zone and a coolant distributor. The drying boxes are made in the form of hollow rectangular parallelepipeds with one end side open and a perforated upper part, and inside the second bottom and subsequent drying boxes there are vertically installed bushings with through holes connecting their upper and lower parts. The device for supplying coolant to the drying zone is made in the form of a fan. The heat carrier distributor is made in the form of a system of air ducts connecting to the open end sides of the drying boxes. The electric heaters of the coolant are installed separately in each duct at a minimum distance from the drying boxes, and the drying boxes are installed in such a way that their open end parts are consistently directed in opposite directions.
EFFECT: energy costs for drying cones are reduced.
