SUBSTANCE: method for authentication of an electronic image consists in forming a limited set of numbers Q_Y of the code of an electronic dot image Y for the recipient; verifying the authenticity of the received electronic image, wherefor the following is establish: whether the image Y is affine-equivalent to any subimages of the message X; whether the erased code Q_Y of the verification image Y is a subset of the erased code Q_Z of private key Z; whether the erased code of each of the non-special images in {Y+1} is a subset of a public key; whether the erased code of each of the special images in {Y+1} is a subset of a public key; from the results thereof, the electronic image is considered authentic if the following conditions are met simultaneously: image Y is affine-equivalent to the subimages - subsets of dots of the message X; the erased code Q_Y of the verification image Y is a subset of the erased code Q_Z of private key Z; the erased code of each of the images in {Y+1}, except for the special images, is not a subset of a public key, wherein the erased code of each of the special images in {Y+1} is a subset of a public key.

EFFECT: increase in the protection of information during transmission thereof via communication channels.
