FIELD: metal working.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to processing of materials by cutting, in particular, to apparatus for processing cut edges of a metal strip. Apparatus consists of a two-roll or multi-roll crusher located under the edge-trimming apparatus of the metal strip and a guiding mechanism for guiding the cut edges of the strip from the edge-trimming apparatus towards the crusher through the guiding mechanism used to capture and twist the cut edges of the metal strip by the crusher and divide said edges into smaller parts.
EFFECT: cut edges with any width and rigidity are processed, work safety is increased, and labour intensity of the process is reduced.
