FIELD: armament.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ammunition, namely to bullets for smoothbore hunting rifles. An expansive action bullet includes a case made of a lead workpiece preliminary separated into four parts with the possibility of closure of slots during stamping with the formation of a single case with a deepening at a nose part, contributing to bullet disclosure and its controlled fragmentation for four elements at the hit moment and entry into an object, and a tail part including a shock-absorbing shutter in the form of two hollow rounded bodies inserted into each other, limited with round plates. Slots for stamping are treated with a solution preventing adhesion of parts at a molecular level during stamping. The shock-absorbing shutter is made of polyethylene in the form of two hollow rounded bodies inserted into each other with sections of the outer body of an oval shape, and of the inner body – a round shape. The outer body is attached to shutter plates by transverse corners.
EFFECT: development of a structure of an expansive lead bullet for smoothbore guns with high stopping effect and controlled disclosure when hitting a target, having a modified tail part for increased stability in flight.
