FIELD: ammunition.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ammunition and can be used for firing from smooth-bore weapons. Subcaliber semi-jacketed fractional bullet for loading rounds to smooth-bore weapons is cylindrical and comprises body with lead core and shank. Bullet comprises membrane installed between body and core, made of upper and lower plates with lower and upper central slots, respectively, and having an elongated shape with crosswise converging said slots of the upper and lower plates forming four partitions from the centre to the sides, each of which has a thickness of not less than 0.5 mm, a width equal to the circumference of the outer collar of the bottom of the body, and a height equal to the height of the core. Each of the four partitions has a through hole. Body is made hollow and all-metal, on one side – open, and on the other – closed bottom with thickness of at least 2 mm, along outer edge of which there is an external collar with thickness of at least 1 mm. On the cylindrical wall of the body on the open side towards the bottom there are four slanting longitudinal slots forming four petals with thickness of not less than 0.5 mm, on the upper part of each of which there is a through hole with a chamfer outside. Slanting longitudinal slots are made with a width that allows tight passage of the membrane plates through them, forming a part extending beyond the body in the form of aerodynamic protrusions. Lead core is made of cylindrical shape, divided along crosswise into four equal parts, having height equal to height of membrane, and converging into one common support bottom. On each part there are external and internal connecting flanges. Internal connecting flanges are located between parts and are connected to the membrane via through holes of the membrane plate, and external connecting flanges via through holes with a chamfer to the outside are connected to petals of the body. Support bottom is located tightly adjacent to the bottom of the body and has a diameter corresponding to the inner diameter of the body. Shank is made all-metal and has a cylindrical hollow shape, on one side is completely open, and on the other side – with an internal collar forming a bottom with thickness of at least 1 mm. Shank bottom has slots, width and depth of which provides free movement of membrane aerodynamic projections, wherein at the open end of the shank there are through longitudinal slots widen towards the bottom, having a width of at least 1 mm at the open end of the shank and a length of more than half the length of the shank. Shank is made with the possibility of telescopic free movement of the body along its inner cylindrical surface and stopping by means of the outer collar of the bottom of the body and the inner collar of the shank bottom.
EFFECT: increased stopping power of bullet and its compactness.
