FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for producing a chiral γ-ketosulphonyl derivative of the pinane structure by the formula (I) - thiol sulphonate (RSO2SR), sulphone (RSO2R), sulphonic acid (RSO3H), including a solvate thereof
wherein an asterisk indicates the bond whereto the sulphonate group (–SO2–) is attached. The method consists in oxidating a thiol of the pinane structure with chlorine dioxide (ClO2) by mixing a thiol solution in an organic solvent with an aqueous or organic chlorine dioxide solution. Herewith, γ-ketothiol of the pinane structure is used as the initial compound; pyridine or dimethylformamide is used as a solvent to produce the sulphonic acid; acetonitrile, hexane, or chloroform is used as a solvent to produce sulphone; and acetonitrile and a VO(acac)2 catalyst are used to produce thiol sulphonate.
EFFECT: production of a chiral γ-ketosulphonyl derivative of the pinane structure with a high yield by an efficient method.
