FIELD: geophysics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of geophysics, namely to marine electrical exploration in order to identify oil and gas fields. A research complex for marine electrical exploration includes a vessel, on which there are equipment for the formation of discrete multipolar pulses, a non-emitting ballast device, equipment for reading and recording information from bottom stations equipped with scythes with receiving electrodes, place registration equipment, and a towed generator line. Additional electrodes are placed on scythes of bottom stations along with main receiving electrodes. Moreover, an additional electrode is located from each main electrode at a distance from 1 m to one tenth of the length of the generator line. Additional measuring channels are formed between main and additional electrodes. A method for marine electrical exploration consists in that, during the passage of the generator line in the immediate vicinity of bottom stations, signals of additional channels formed by main and additional electrodes are measured. The position of the center of the generator line is compared during the passage above the intended position of the receiving line with a signal time sweep. If time of passage by the receiving time line, relatively to which the measured signal is symmetrical, does not match, a wrong position of electrodes is fixed. To determine a true position of receiving electrodes, coordinates of receiving electrodes are first shifted along a profile so that the moment of passage of the center of the generator line above them approximately corresponds to time, relatively to which the measured signal is symmetrical. Then, probing curves are built on the fundamental harmonic relatively to the intended center of the measuring line, and trial calculations are carried out, changing positions of the receiving line, achieving a coincidence of a shape of measured and theoretical curves. The position of electrodes, corresponding to the best match, is assumed to be true.
EFFECT: obtaining a research complex for marine electrical exploration.
